Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) is recommended for the treatment of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, dilated pores, hyperpigmentation and improvement of the skins texture and tone. Using an automated micro-needling pen device which creates micro-punctures in the skin, breaking down scar tissue and stimulating the skin’s natural repair process and the deposition of collagen and elastin. By inflicting small & superficial, needle-tip, wounds to your skin, the skin responds by generating new collagen producing evenly toned and plump looking skin.
Collagen induction builds layers of the supporting intracellular matrix, promoting healthy, resilient skin that looks younger. The second key benefit from microneedling is in increasing transdermal penetration of actives, facilitating higher product concentrations in the dermis. This has the potential to make topical treatments more effective.
With a bounty of skincare benefits, microneedling will deliver noticeable results in:
- Increased cell proliferation and regeneration
- Improved skin texture
- Improved skin tone and tightness
- Reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Improved appearance of acne and surgical scars
- Improved appearance of pigmentation
- Improved appearance of rosacea
- Improved appearance of stretch marks
- Reduction in pore size
Adjustable needles to reach varied depths, means microneedling is safe and effective for use on all parts of the body and can be performed on all skin types and ethnicities, with the right skin preparation, in the week’s ahead (called: skin priming) plus the right needle settings applied on the day by your trained skin therapist.
The procedure is completed with an inclusive application of a professional strength peptide growth factor serum, which speeds up the healing rate and supports and optimises the skin rejuvenation process. Topical local anaesthetic can be used to minimise any discomfort. PLEASE EMAIL US AT: INFO@THECLEARSKINCLINIC.COM.AU to SOURCE OUR FACTSHEET ON WHERE TO SOURCE SUITABLE NUMBING CREAMS.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Before any microneedling treatment it is vitally important to ensure that your skin is adequately prepared (known as priming) using cosmeceutical strength skincare ingredients such as Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Tyrosinase inhibitors and other essential, active skincare ingredients advised by our Skin Therapist team. This daily homecare product regimen may be required for up to 4-6 weeks prior to any microneedling treatment, depending on your skin-type and natural melanin levels within your skin, in order to ensure you get the best results and minimum downtime. If you are not on an existing daily skincare regimen of a suitable ‘skin priming’ homecare ingredients, you may be required to delay your treatment until this has been achieved with our specialist products or those suitable products within your existing homecare products. You will be guided on how to achieve this or whether your skin-type is already suitably ‘prepared’ by our team of Skin Therapists.
